Cost
The cost of a vasectomy with Snip Vasectomy Clinic is $395. This is price includes:
~ Pre-operative nurse consultation
~ Pre-operative medication
~ Vasectomy procedure
~ Follow up of semen results (Note- The Wellington laboratory charges around $30 for performing each semen analysis)
The invoice is to be paid at the time of the procedure. We accept Cash/ Eftpos/All Major Credit Cards.
Private Medical Insurance
Many of the private medical insurance companies will fully fund the cost of the vasectomy under a surgical cover policy. We are happy to bill the medical insurance company directly if you can produce a pre-approval letter. As an affiliated provider to Southern Cross healthcare, Snip Vasectomy Clinic can organise pre-approval on a patients behalf.
Low Income Patients
Patients with a low income who hold a Community Service Card may be able to apply for assistance with the procedure through Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ). Snip Vasectomy Clinic can help with this application for funding by producing a supporting letter to the patients application. Any shortfall in costs must still be paid by the patient.
